The Bales catch (sometimes referred to as a ball catcher) and has a spring-loaded ball attached to a flange in a cylinder. The lock is recessed into the edge of the door while the scratch plate is embedded into the terminal strip. Allows you to open or close the door easily without a handle with conventional pipe lock.
